The Blade, Christophers' 65th! Jack and Maxine Christopher of Sylvania will observe their 65th wedding anniversary on December 11. They were married by the Very Rev. Russell K. Johnson at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Davenport, Iowa. Jack Christopher graduated from Davenport High School in 1943 and Iowa State University in 1950. He spent 21/2 years in the Army Air Corps during World War II, serving as a navigator on several B-29 missions over Japan. Jack retired in 1986 after 30-plus years with Owens-Corning Fiberglas Corp. Maxine Christopher, the former Maxine Louise Stevens, graduated from Davenport High School in 1942, and is a retired homemaker. They celebrated their anniversary with a show at the Stranahan Theatre and a family dinner on December 7.
