The Blade, Hainens' 50th! Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hainen, formerly of Bowling Green and Toledo, and now residents of The Villages, FL, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception given by their children. The Open House will take place at the Tamaron Country Club, 2162 W. Alexis Rd., Toledo, on Friday, June 19, 4-7 p.m. The couple were married June 20, 1965, in Bowling Green, OH. Fred was a 1958 BGHS graduate and Judy (Mellott) was a 1962 BGHS graduate. Fred was a music teacher in Washington Local Schools and Whitmer HS, Toledo, for 34 years. He also taught two years in Lima, OH. Fred played in the Toledo Symphony Orchestra for 40 years. He earned degrees from Ohio Northern University and Bowling Green State University. Judy was a music/classroom teacher in Monroe, MI Public Schools for 36 years. She was a local organist/soloist on Bowling Green, Toledo, and Monroe. Judy earned degrees from Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo. Both Fred and Judy hope to greet former friends. The couple have two daughters, Elizabeth (David DePeters) of Philadelphia, and Melanie (Gary Burghgraef) of Rockford, MI. They a;so have two grandchildren, Chase and Morgan Burghgraef. Friends are welcome, but no gifts, please.
