The Blade, Blakes' 50th On December 22, 1963, a boy from Toledo, OH and a polish girl from Cicero, IL, went on their 1st date at the infamous Blackhawk Restaurant located in the Chicago Loop area. Who knew that in less than eleven (11) months, Donald Blake and Marie Christo would travel to the Cook County Courthouse and get married on November 7, 1964. Surely not their parents, as Frank & Mary Christo, as well as Harvie & Flora Blake did not find out until after they said, "I Do." Congratulations on fifty (50) years of wedded bliss, as you've made it look easy but we are sure that you've both made sacrifices for us, as well as each other.
